Synopsis
In Teruel, extinction is not only a thing of the past. To slow depopulation, the region is seeking new residents through resettlement programmes. Carlos, an exiled Cuban, hopes to settle in Escucha, a small village in the mining basin. He lives in a hostel with other migrants while he waits to pass his probation as a worker at Dinópolis, a dinosaur theme park. If all goes well, he will be able to bring over his daughter, who is still in Cuba. Among animatronics, fossils and papier-mâché landscapes, Carlos tries to adapt to a land that feels strange to him, where echoes of his own past slowly begin to appear.
